It doesn’t look like this drab grey winter is going anywhere soon. Luckily, the AGO is bursting with colourful interactive fun on Family Day. On Monday, February 19 from 10:30 am to 4 pm, put on your favourite colour, escape the cold and join us to celebrate with music, movement and activities for the whole family.
Here are some highlights:
Drag performance artists Fluffy Soufflé and Fay Slift are bringing their technicolour storytelling talents to the AGO’s Walker Court. The duo will read from a selection of LGBTQ-friendly children’s books in Walker Court, beginning at 11:30 am. Readings happen again at 1:30, 2:30 and 3 pm.
In between the stories, it’s an all-ages, all-colours dance party led by the folks from Movement Lab, so you can shake your colourful tail feathers!
Elsewhere in the Gallery, there’s every shade of activity with bubble wrap to pop, shadows to chase, colourful films to watch, tours to take and emoji masks to make.
On February 19, Family Passes will be discounted by 20%, lowering the price to $39. A Family Pass admits two adults and up to five youths (ages 6 to 17). As always, admission for children age 5 and under is free.
