Although the AGO is a year-round wedding venue, summer is the most popular time of year to say “I do.” Flowers of every shade are in bloom, the days are long and the nights are warm. Shutterbugs both professional and amateur already know this, but the AGO is pretty photogenic. Plenty of tall windows means lots of natural light, and striking architecture makes every picture look like a mini-masterpiece. Mix that with the best event team in town (made up of experts who can bring inspired designs to life), and a wedding couldn’t get more picturesque. To prove it we’ve selected some highlights from our AGO Events team’s Instagram feed to inspire you:
First dance at sunset. Stephanie & Michael's June wedding was filled to the brim with romance and show-stopping decor. @stemzflowers created incredible custom chandeliers which floated over the dance floor and tied together the room's pink & white theme. A little wedding inspiration to start your week: pops of colour and indie details. Perfect contrast to the sleek & modern #Gehry feature staircase! Over the next few days, we'll be posting a romantic & sweet style shoot, featuring real bride and Toronto-based singer/songwriter Megan Bonnell. What could be prettier than a colour-saturated (hello emerald green and plum!), intimate wedding dinner? Titania and Jason celebrated with just over one hundred of their nearest and dearest at a dramatic harvest-style table in Galleria Italia. Before their ceremony, the couple shared a quiet reveal moment and photo session in Walker Court. It's pretty clear this pair is smitten – take a look through the images by @purpletreephotography posted on the @eventsource.ca blog and you'll see what we mean! http://ow.ly/p3OH305ykJK #torontowedding #AGOevents #WeddingWednesday #emerald
Nazanin and Nick were married by a gorgeous Sofreh under the spiral staircase of Walker Court. Designed by the bride, it was a sight to behold and showed off Nazanin's natural design talent. After the wedding, Nazanin and her sister launched @bitsandblooms – a Toronto-based event planning firm specializing in customized Sofreh design (check out their Instagram for mind-bogglingly beautiful work!) #Sofreh #PersianWedding #TorontoWedding #WeddingWednesday Photo by @bostonavenuephoto
