The days are getting longer and the social calendar is filling up, which means spring has finally sprung! That also means that AGO spring courses – including flower-themed art classes inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe – are about to start next week, so act fast if you want to sign up.
It’s the perfect time to reconnect and focus on what’s truly important in life, including self-care. To help you take a deep breath or two, we’re running mindfulness programs to helping visitors find a new way of interacting with art from the AGO Collection.
Mindful Movement – Slow Looking will engage with specific works to slow down the body and mind with yoga movements and meditative techniques, allowing visitors to experience a new way of looking at art and being in an art space. This is a five-week course that runs every Thursday from May 4 to June 1 from 10:30 am to noon, and every Friday from May 12 to June 9 from 6 to 7:30 pm.
All pre-crawlers and caregivers are welcome at the Caregiver and Babe Yoga and Field Trip, which will take babies, moms and dads on a yogic journey through the AGO Collection and exhibitions.
Did you know that AGO Members receive a discount on our courses? Join today! A new session of spring courses is about to begin. And if you want to cap your visit off with a contemplation of Georgia O’Keeffe’s flowers, tickets are on sale now.
