I am an Alumni of OCAD and I have been an Artist, curator, and have worked for Ken Thomson in the Thomson Gallery with his private collection. Over 40 years of experience being an Artist and representing Artists, makes me an expert on new and emerging artists and established artists like the Group of 7 who were and always will be the most commercial of all Canadian Artists.
Commercial, Fine and performance art are all the same. Putting a price on things is what a customer will pay for a piece. Remember Art is in the eye of the beholder and a painting or any work of art can also be priceless. I was told once in a commercial gallery thet I worked in;A work of art is only worth as much as the receipt that was paid for it. The sky is the limit if you are different and original. These people are very interesting but also boring.
