Talented RCM students continue to present Sunday afternoon performances in the AGO’s Walker Court. The AGO has partnered with the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) to host these concerts, which will continue through spring 2010.
This Sunday’s concert, October 25, features Mark Johnston on violin. Johnston graduated in June 2008 from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor in Violin Performance and a minor in Composition. He is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma in violin at The Glenn Gould School, studying with Mayumi Seiler. Since 2000 he has played in or led orchestras including the Ottawa, North Bay, and Sudbury Symphony Orchestras; Via Salzburg Chamber Orchestra; the National Youth Orchestra of Canada; the orchestras of the universities of Ottawa and Toronto; and the Ottawa Youth Orchestra.
Concerts at the AGO are held in Walker Court Sundays from 1:30 to 2:15 pm, and are free with admission.
