More about art and art galleries

August 16th, 2006

There are so many reasons why art galleries exist. I guess I think like many others that they are places for sharing ideas, values, attitudes. Is there some special role that the AGO could play in Toronto, given the incredible diversity of our population? Is it an issue that our collections are predominantly Western, though by 2008 we will have Oceanic and African material of real significance?
